Course Description:
Swim in clean, clear, fresh water lake. Short 1/4 mile run
out of swim to T1( leaving some shoes by the lake highly
recommended for the 1/4 mile run). Mountain Bike on NJ
Pine Barren Trails through Scout Reservation and into
Wells Mills Park. Trails vary from wide and sandy, to
packed down and tight single track, with a few bridge
crossings thrown in. Trail run will wind out of the Scout
Reservation and into fire trails of the Pine Barrens before
finishing back in the Scout Reservation.
Watch Out for Jersey Devil sightings throughout the
course.
Fees:
$60 by April 1, 2013
$70 after April 1, 2013
$80 Race Day for those waiting to sign up on RACE Day, we cannot guarentee we will have
enough t-shirts or goody bags for you, if
no t-shirts are left, we will reduce the price by
$10, to $70

COURSE PREVIEWING: If you do go down to Barnegat to
preview the course please park at Wells Mills County Park in Waretown and pick up the course there. The Citta Scout Reservation is a private Scout Camp and is not open to the public, so please do not park at the Scout Camp. On most weekdays it is quiet at the Scout Camp and if you do ride or run through you should be fine, just tread lightly, and if you see anyone please be kind and considerate. On weekends the Scout Camp is usually crowded. So if you do go on the weekend please stay out of the Scout Camp. About 90% of the bike course can be previewed without going into the Scout Camp. Look for official full course preview days about a month before the race.
Race timing: will be done by SPLIT SECOND RACING,
which is Race Management by Doug Rice, also of
Race Forum. There will be 5 splits, swim to T1,
T1 to bike, bike to T2, T2 to run, run to Finish

Directions to Race Site:
From the Garden State Parkway North or South:
Take the GSP N or S to EXIT 69, the Waretown Exit.
Head West at the GSP exit onto County Rd 532, follow
signs for Wells Mills Park.
Take 532 past Wells Mills Park. At next intersection
past Wells Mills make a left, this is Brookville Road.
Follow signs to Joseph A Citta Scout Reservation, on left.
From the West (Philly Area):
Get on Route 70. Take Route 70 East.
When Route 70 intersects Route 72, take Route 72
towards Long Beach Island.
Take County Rd 554 towards Barnegat.
Look for Brookville Road and turn Left onto it.
Follow signs for Joseph A Citta Scout Reservation, turn in
on right.
