THE EARLY SCHEDULING OF THIS RACE IT IS MOST LIKELY
 
 
YOU WILL WANT TO WEAR A WETSUIT FOR THE RACE. 
 
 
WATER TEMPERATURE FOR THE SCOUT LAKE IS
 
 
ANTICIPATED TO BE IN THE high 50s TO low 60S PERFECT
 
 
SWIMMING CONDITIONS WITH A FULL SLEEVE WETSUIT.
 
(2011 water temps were in the low to mid 60s
 
2012 was a bit colder in the mid to high 50s
 
2013 = in the high 50s to low 60s

2014 = in the low 60s
 
 
 
 
2015 = in the low 60s

WETSUIT RULES:

XTERRA follows the Swimming Conduct rules for Wetsuit Use1 established by the

International Triathlon Union (ITU) at all XRC Races (Las Vegas, Richmond, Beaver

Creek, Waco), the XTERRA USA Championship (Ogden), all XTERRA Global Tour

events, and the XTERRA World Championship. Here are the specifics of the ITU

Wetsuit Use Rules:

HERE THEY ARE LISTED BELOW:

Wetsuits are mandatory for Age Group athletes if the water temperature

is BELOW 57

degrees Fahrenheit (14 degrees C)

o

Wetsuits are permitted for Age Group athletes if the water temperature is

AT or BELOW 72

degrees Fahrenheit (22 degrees C)

o

Wetsuits are forbidden for Age Group athletes if the water temperature is

ABOVE 72

degrees Fahrenheit (22 degrees C)

o

Wetsuits are mandatory for Professional athletes if the water

temperature is BELOW 57

degrees Fahrenheit (14 degrees C)

o

Wetsuits are permitted for Professional athletes if the water temperature

is AT or BELOW 68

degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees C).

o

Wetsuits are forbidden for Professional athletes if the water temperature

is ABOVE 68

degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees C)
